This is a very nice matrix plate representing a sea bottom during Silurian time. The slab contains a very dark-colored crinoid holdfast centered in the middle of the plate. There are also 2 Platyostoma gastropods and a few brachiopods scattered on the plate. The plate is totally natural - no compositing. The fossils have great contrast and are nicely centered on a solid piece of matrix. This is a nice display piece of associated fossils.
