This is an unusual association piece. The Abrotocrinus crinoid has good plate structure and some stem. The Hylodecrinus crinoid displays great detail with nice arm structure. It is very 3-dimensional and has a long stem attached. Now for the bonus. Every once in a while, we find a rare Mississippian echinoid, Lepidocidaris, in the particular crinoid pocket that we have been digging. Here is one of those echinoids. The echinoid is complete and shows the tiny bumps on the plates. Some of the small spines are evident. It is a nice dark color and contrasts well with the matrix. This is a nice association of different echinoderms.
