What a fantastic plate of crinoids! This plate contains an Onychocrinus ulrichi that is starburst. The Agaricocrinus americanus is very 3-dimensional, has totally complete arms, and a long stem. The Macrocrinus shows the feathery detail of the arms and has the long anal tube exposed at the top of the arms. The Barycrinus is also inflated, has great color, and some stem. To top it off, there is also a rare starfish, Onychaster, on the same slab. This makes for a great association specimen. One of the features that makes this piece exceptional is that every specimen is a good, if not great, example of the species. In summary, this is a great plate of crinoids with a starfish as a bonus.
