Here is a very prolific crinoid plate from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has TWELVE crinoids preserved (11 Dichocrinus multiplex and one Eretmocrinus tentor). All of the crinoids are well displayed, with stems present on many of the crinoids. The fossil echinoderms have nice color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the large plate of shale. This is a very cool crinoid multiple from this classic echinoderm locality. (The red dots are used for identification.)
