Here is a fabulous multiple echinoderm plate from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has three RARE crinoids preserved (Circidocrinus cirrifer, Culmicrinus thomasi, and Rhodocrinites douglassi excavatus). There is also a wonderful Archaeocidaris aliquantula urchin showcased on the plate. The crinoids are beautifully displayed, with stems present on all of the crinoids. The fossil echinoid has its long spines intact, which is also very rare. The fossils have great color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the large plate of limestone. This is a very collectible echinoderm association plate from a classic locality. (The red dots are used for identification.)
