Here is an amazing example of an unusual crinoid. This is a fabulous specimen of Iocrinus subcrassus from the Ordovician of Ohio. This specimen came from an old collection, as they find very few of this type anymore. This type of crinoid has tendril-like arms and a very long stem - these features are beautifully displayed on this specimen. The crinoid has great color and contrast and is well showcased on the squared plate of matrix. This is a spectacular display example of this uncommon Ordovician crinoid direct from a major fossil collection.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally. A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
