Here is an extremely interesting plate of fossils from the Rochester Shale of New York. There is a very fine example of Lyriocrinus dactylus on the right side of the slab. This amazingly detailed crinoid is nicely inflated and has great plate structure. The long stem is still intact and the long arms are also well preserved. A complete Dalmanites limulurus is present to the left of the crinoid. The trilobite is also inflated and extremely detailed. The fossils display very well on the large, rectangular plate of Rochester Shale. This is a unique example of a rare crinoid associated with a complete trilobite from the Silurian sea.
