Here is a very nice Eucalyptocrinus crassus cup from the Silurian of Indiana. The site where this specimen was found was filled with water and closed to collecting. This fully inflated crinoid has excellent detail. The plate structure of the cup is just exquisite! There are also five brachiopods on the plate. The color of the fossils contrast wonderfully with the light grey matrix. The fossils are nicely presented on the natural plate of shale. This is a very good specimen of Silurian fossils from the Waldron Shale.
