Here is an excellent crinoid from Gilmore City, Iowa. A wonderful example of Eretmocrinus tentor is preserved on the plate. This crinoid is beautifully displayed, with the distinct anal tube and the long stem with many long cirri is present, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderm has great color and contrast and is wonderfully centered on the natural plate of shale. This is a beautiful example of this classic crinoid from an historic crinoid locality.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
