Here is a very unusual crinoid from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has large Eretmocrinus tentor crinoid preserved. The crinoid is well displayed, with the long stem easily seen. The crinoid has an EXTREMELY LONG anal tube preserved - we do not know what could have caused this. The fossil echinoderm has great color and contrast and is naturally positioned on the squared plate of limestone. This is a very collectible example of a very strange crinoid.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
