This is a very collectible US crinoid. It is a distinct Phanocrinus from Anna, Illinois. This site has been closed to collecting for a number of years. This fossil was obtained from a major crinoid collection. The crinoid is very 3-dimensional and is very well articulated. The sea lily has great detail preserved on the arms and the long stem. The crinoid has great natural coloration and is well showcased on the colorful plate of matrix. This is a very nice specimen of an crinoid with stem from Anna, Illinois.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
