Here is an aesthetic specimen of a crinoid preserved in the ''starburst'' position. This fossil is from the famous Gilmore City Crinoid Quarry. A wonderful example of Eretmocrinus tentor is preserved in the middle of the plate. This crinoid is beautifully displayed with the arms in the textbook ''starburst'' position. The fossil echinoderm has great color and contrast and is nicely positioned on the natural plate of matrix. This is a very attractive crinoid from a classic fossil locality.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
