Here is a plate of very detailed crinoids from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has a very distinct Eretmocrinus tentor preserved on the slab. This crinoid is displayed in the textbook "starburst" position. There are also two Cercidocrinus fimbria and a nice Dichocrinus multiplex fossilized on the slab. The crinoids are beautifully detailed, with stems present, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderms have great color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the natural plate of limestone. This is a very fine display plate of crinoids from a classic locality.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
