This is a very prolific plate of crinoids from the famous site at Crawfordsville, Indiana. There are SEVEN crinoid crowns on the plate. There are THREE large Platycrinites hemisphericus crinoids with LONG corkscrew stems still attached to each crinoid. All of the other crinods also have stems attached, which is highly unusual. The crinoids have been prepared in very high relief for better display. There are also many Cladochonus corals and bryozoans preserved on the plate. The fossils have great color and contrast and are well showcased on the large, natural block of siltstone. This is a very large, displayable multiple plate of Crawfordsville crinoids.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
