Here is a fabulous crinoid from Gilmore City, Iowa. A wonderful example of Dichocrinus multiplex is preserved in the center of the plate. This crinoid is beautifully displayed, with the feathery arms and some of the long stem present, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderm has great color and contrast and is nicely positioned on the large plate of limestone. This is a beautiful crinoid from a classic locality.
