Here is an excellent crinoid from Gilmore City, Iowa. A wonderful example of Eretmocrinus tentor is preserved on the plate. This crinoid is beautifully displayed, with the LONG anal tube and much of the long stem present, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderm has great color and contrast and is nicely positioned on the natural plate of shale that also has a crinoid laying on the stem, and another on the back side! This is a beautiful example of this classic crinoid from an historic locality.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
