This is a beautiful specimen of Cyathocrinites multibrachiatus from the Edwardsville Formation of Crawfordsville, Indiana. This specimen was recently acquired from the famous DeRosear Collection. This large specimen is EXTREMELY 3-dimensional and exhibits very fine detail. The MANY arms are complete to the very tips, which is quite unusual. A LONG section of stem is still attached to the large crown. The specimen has excellent color and contrast and is nicely showcased on the rectangular block of siltstone. This is a great example of this impressive crinoid from the DeRosear Collection.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
