Here is a beautiful crinoid from Gilmore City, Iowa. A wonderful example of Dichocrinus multiplex is preserved on the plate. This crinoid is beautifully displayed, with the feathery, pinnulated arms and some of the stem present, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderm has great detail, good color and contrast, and is nicely positioned on the natural plate of shale. This is an excellent crinoid from a classic fossil locality.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
