Here is a fine multiple crinoid plate from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has two Dichocrinus multiplex, two Aorocrinus iola, one Eretmocrinus tentor, and one Cercidocrinus cirrifer preserved on the plate. The crinoids are beautifully displayed, nicely spread out on the plate. The fossil echinoderms have great color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the rectangular plate of shale. This is a diverse crinoid multiple from a classic locality. (The red dots are used for identification.)
