Here is an amazing plate of unusual crinoids. This is a fine multiple specimen of Iocrinus subcrassus from the Ordovician of Indiana. This specimen came from an old collection, as they find very few of this type anymore. This type of crinoid has tendril-like arms and a very long anal sac - these features are beautifully displayed on these specimens. There are at least FOURTEEN crinoids preserved on the plate. The crinoids have great color and contrast and are well showcased on the natural plate of matrix. This is a spectacular multiple example of this uncommon Ordovician crinoid direct from a major fossil collection.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
