Here is a distinct crinoid from Gilmore City, Iowa. A fine example of Eretmocrinus tentor is preserved on the plate. This crinoid is beautifully displayed, with the arms splayed open in a ''starburst'' position, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderm has great color and contrast and is nicely positioned on the natural plate of limestone. This is a beautiful crinoid from a classic fossil locality.
