Here is a gorgeous plate of very detailed crinoids from Gilmore City, Iowa. The plate has a wonderful, long-stemmed Eretmocrinus tentor (left) and a fine Dichocrinus multiplex (right) preserved on the slab. The crinoids are beautifully displayed very close to each other, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderms have great color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the natural plate of limestone. This is a very fine pair of crinoids from a classic Midwest locality.
