Here is a plate of very detailed crinoids from Gilmore City, Iowa. This classic location has been closed to collecting for a number of years, ever since some drunken fool drove his car over the wall of the quarry. The plate has two detailed Dichocrinus multiplex and a large Eretmocrinus tentor preserved on the slab. The crinoids are beautifully displayed, one with stem present, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderms have great color and contrast and are naturally positioned on the natural plate of limestone. This is a very fine trio of crinoids from a classic locality that is now closed to collecting.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
