This is a very detailed specimen of Lyriocrinus from the Rochester Shale of New York. The crinoid has great plate structure. The biserial arms are splayed out to create a beautiful display. Many of the tiny pinnules of the arms are exhibited, which is extremely unusual for this type. The crinoid has a long, articulated stem attached to the crown. The crinoid is very 3-dimensional, has great color and contrast, and is well showcased on the large plate. This is a very beautiful display specimen of Lyriocrinus mellisa from New York.
