Here is a nice multiple crinoid plate from Gilmore City, Iowa. This classic location has been closed to collecting for a number of years, ever since some drunken fool drove his car over the wall of the quarry. However, we have acquired a lot of crinoids from a local collector who had them stashed away for decades. The plate has three very fine Eretmocrinus tentor beautifully displayed, with stems present, which is very unusual. The fossil echinoderms extremely inflated and are naturally positioned on the rectangular plate of limestone. This is a very nice crinoid multiple from a classic locality that is now closed to collecting.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
