This is a very nice plate with two crinoids from the Warsaw Formation of Illinois. The crinoid on the left is Abrotocrinus coreyi. This crinoid exhibits very fine detail. The plate structure of the cup is nice. The branching, pinnulated arms are complete and display quite well. The crinoid on the right is Taxocrinus sp. This is a very rare flexible crinoid from this locality. This crinoid also has great detail. The crown is complete. The branching arms are very tiny at the top and curve inward. A touch of stem is present on this crinoid. The crinoids have good color and contrast and are displayed on a rounded plate of siltstone. This is a very nice association piece of an inadunate crinoid and a flexible crinoid on the same piece.
