This is an excellent example of Cyathocrinites harrodi from the Mississippian of Indiana. From the DeRosear Collection, this crinoid is very 3-dimensional and well articulated. The crinoid has great detail - the cup has beautiful stellate plates, and the arms are complete down to the very small tips. The branching of the arms is quite distinct. The crinoid has a nice, long stem attached. The sea lily is well centered on a squared slab of matrix. This is a very displayable specimen of an unusual species of Cyathocrinites from the DeRosear Collection.
