Here is a gorgeous specimen from the Mississippian of Iowa. This crinoid is from the famous Gilmore City Quarry which is now closed to collecting. A wonderful example of Eretmocrinus tentor is positioned in the middle of the plate. The crinoid is beautifully displayed with the arms in the textbook ''starburst'' position. The sea lily has great color and contrast and is nicely positioned on the rounded plate of matrix. This is a very attractive crinoid from a classic locality that is now closed to collecting.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
