This is a distinct specimen of Paradichocrinus planus from the famous site at Crawfordsville, Indiana. Usually, this species of crinoid has many of the arms broken off. This specimen displays the long arms very well. The crinoid exhibits very nice detail - the plate structure of the cup is easily seen. The crinoid has a long, articulated stem still attached. The fossil is well showcased on the large block of siltstone that also contains Cladochonus corals and other crinoid fossils. This is an fine specimen of Paradichocrinus from the Mississippian.
