This is a fine specimen of Hypselocrinus hoveyi from Indiana. This inadunate crinoid has extremely long, slender arms. Usually, on this genus of crinoid, several (or all) of the arms are broken off short. In this specimen, the arms are all extremely long and of equal length. The crinoid has fine detail - the plate structure of the cup is superb, and the fine pinnules of the arms are evident. The crinoid has a well articulated stem attached that just happens to be laying on a brachiopod! This is a wonderful specimen of this rare Crawfordsville crinoid.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
