Here is a very interesting plate of crinoids from the Mississippian of Indiana. There are four crinoids on this slab. All of the crinoids are natural to the piece - none have been added. It is very unusual to find this many crinoids in such close proximity to each other. On the top and left side of the plate are fine specimens of Macrocrinus mundulus. These camerate crinoids have ''feathery'' arms and a long anal tube that extends above the tops of the arms. All of these Macrocrinus specimens still have stems attached. A large example of Onychocrinus ulrichi is in the center of the plate. This crinoid has very large plates preserved. The fossils have very good color and contrast and are well presented on the large plate of siltstone. This is a fine multiple crinoid plate from Crawfordsville, Indiana.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
