Here is a fine pair of Macrocrinus mundulus from the Mississippian beds near Crawfordsville, Indiana. This type of camerate crinoid has a large, multi-plated cup and long, unbranching, biserial arms. These specimens displays these features very nicely. The arms are unusually complete to the very tips, and the fine pinnules are beautifully exhibited. An extremely lengthy section of stem is tightly attached to both of the crowns. The 3-dimensional fossils have great natural color and contrast nicely with the grey matrix. The crinoids are well centered on the semi-rectangular plate of siltstone that also contains another Macrocrinus and a coral colony. This is a very nice multiple plate of Macrocrinus mundulus from Crawfordsville.

This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
