This is a very nice Crawfordsville crinoid. It is a fine Cyathocrinites from the Edwardsville Formation. This type of crinoid has many branching arms. This specimen is extremely inflated and 3-D. The detail is very well preserved - the distinct plate structure is beautifully showcased. A long portion of the segmented stem is still intact. The crinoid is nicely centered on the squared matrix plate. This is a fine Cyathocrinites crinoid from Indiana.
