This is a very nice specimen of Scytalocrinus sp. from the famous Mississippian crinoid site at Crawfordsville, Indiana. The long-armed crinoid is extremely inflated and exhibits fine detail. The plate structure of the small cone-shaped cup is very good. Some of the long pinnules are displayed between the arms. The crinoid has good color and contrast and is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular block of siltstone. This is a wonderful example of Scytalocrinus from Indiana.
