This is a fine specimen of Abrotocrinus coreyi from the Warsaw Formation of Illinois. This type of crinoid has a small, bowl-shaped cup with long, branching, uniserial arms. This specimen is extremely well preserved and exhibits fine detail. The plate structure of the cup is clearly defined, and the pinnules of the arms are beautifully displayed. A long, curving stem is still attached to the crinoid. The echinoderm has excellent color and contrast and is nicely showcased on the large, squared matrix plate. This is a fine specimen of Abrotocrinus from the Warsaw Formation.
