This is a very distinct specimen of Abrotocrinus coreyi from the Warsaw Formation of Illinois. The crinoid exhibits very good detail - the plate structure of the cup is very nice, and the branching pattern of the long arms is quite evident. The crinoid still has a portion of its stem preserved. The fossil has good color and contrast and is well presented on the sculpted plate of siltstone. This is a fine specimen of this classic crinoid from the Warsaw Formation.
