This is a very fine specimen of Dizygocrinus sp. from the Warsaw Formation of Illinois. The crinoid has very good color and contrast. The fossil has wonderful detail - the plate structure of the cup is easily seen, and the arms are tightly articulated and nicely intact. The ''curling in'' of the arms at the top of the crown is quite distinct. A section of stem is also very well preserved. This is a very inflated example of Dizygocrinus sp. with stem still attached.
