This is a very nice Crawfordsville crinoid. It is a large Cyathocrinites from the Edwardsville Formation. This type of crinoid has many branching arms. This specimen is extremely inflated and 3-D. The detail is very well preserved - the plate structure of the cup is beautifully showcased. A long portion of the segmented stem is still attached. The crinoid is nicely centered on the squared matrix plate. This is a very fine Cyathocrinites crinoid from Indiana.
