This is an excellent Crawfordsville crinoid. It is a beautiful Cyathocrinites crown from the Edwardsville Formation of Indiana. This type of crinoid has many branching arms. This specimen is extremely inflated and 3-D, and the detail is very well preserved. The plate structure of the cup is beautifully showcased, and many of the arms are complete to the tips. A large section of the segmented stem is intact and still attached. The crinoid is nicely presented on the sculpted plate of siltstone. This is a very fine Cyathocrinites crinoid from Indiana.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
