This is a very fine specimen of Dizygocrinus gorbyi from the Warsaw Formation of Illinois. The crinoid has good color and contrast. The fossil has wonderful detail - the plate structure of the cup is easily seen. The arms are tightly articulated and nicely intact. The long stem is also very well preserved. This is a nice example of Dizygocrinus gorbyi woth long stem still attached.
