This is a very good specimen of Cupulocrinus jewetti from the Ordovician of Canada. This crinoid exhibits very fine detail. The plate structure of the cup is easily seen. The branching pattern of the long, uniserial arms is well defined. A portion of the stem is present and tightly articulated with the cup. The cream-colored crinoid contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. It is well centered on the rectangular limestone plate. This is a nice example of an Ordovician crinoid from Canada.
