This is an excellent specimen of Gogia spiralis, an eocrinoid, from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. The detail of this primitive echinoderm is wonderful. The elongate, multi-plated, sac-like holdfast is quite evident. The large-plated calyx is well displayed. The twisted, spiraled arms are very distinct. This specimen is more inflated than many Gogia specimens. The fossil has great color and contrast. It is well positioned on the matrix plate. This is a very detailed specimen of this primitive echinoderm.
