This is an excellent specimen of Gogia spiralis from the Middle Cambrian of Utah. The detail of this eocrinoid is incredible. The multi-plated, sac-like holdfast is quite evident. The large-plated calyx is well displayed. The spiraled arms are very distinct. This specimen is more inflated than many Gogia specimens. The fossil has great color and contrast. It is almost perfectly centered on the squared matrix plate. This is a wonderful specimen of this primitive echinoderm.
