Here are two nice crinoid crowns from the world-famous site of Crawfordsville, Indiana. On the left is Cyathocrinites harrodi. This crinoid displays the stellate plates of the cup. A portion of the stem is retained by the specimen. The arms show the branching pattern of this genus. On the right is a nice specimen of Macrocrinus mundulus. This crinoid exhibits a long, very nodose anal tube extending above the arms. The plate structure of the cup is well defined. The long, uniserial arms display the very fine pinnules. The crinoids have good color and contrast. They are well positioned on a natural plate of matrix. This is a very affordable specimen of crinoids from Indiana.
