Here is an extremely interesting plate of fossils from the Rochester Shale of New York. There is a fine example of Ichthyocrinus laevis on the left side of the slab. This primitive Flexible crinoid is nicely inflated and has great plate structure. The unusually long stem is still intact and aesthetically curves around the side of the plate. A thorax and pygidium of Dalmanites limulurus is present to the right of the crinoid. There are also several examples of bryozoans and a brachiopod on the large, somewhat rectangular plate. This is a great example of a large crinoid associated with other fossils from the Silurian sea.
