This is an excellent specimen of Abrotocrinus coreyi. This crinoid is from the Warsaw Formation of Illinois. The specimen is somewhat inflated and displays very fine detail. The plate structure of the cup is easily seen. The multi-branching, uniserial arms exhibit excellent pinnulation. A section of stem is still attached to the crinoid crown. The specimen has good color and contrast. It is well centered on the semi- squared plate of matrix. This is a very detailed crinoid from the Warsaw Formation.
