This is a fine specimen of Eratocrinus coxanus from the Warsaw Formation in Illinois. This crinoid is a fairly unusual crinoid from this location. The fossil shows good detail. The plate structure of the cup is very nice. The uniserial arms are splayed out and the pinnules of the arms are evident. The crinoid has good color and contrast. It is positioned on a semi-rectangular slab of matrix. This is a large specimen of Eratocrinus coxanus from this site.
