This is an outstanding crinoid from the Mississippian sea. It is a Forbesiocrinus multibrachiatus from the famous Edwardsville Formation of Indiana. This Flexible crinoid is nicely inflated and exhibits wonderful detail. The plate structure is beautifully defined, and the arms are complete to the very tips, curling inward at the top of the crinoid. An EXTREMELY LONG stem is still tightly attached to the crown. The stem aesthetically curves toward the bottom of the plate and a number of ''rootlets'' are even displayed. The crinoid has excellent color and contrast and is almost perfectly centered on the LARGE, unbroken, rectangular plate of siltstone. This is a very displayable, museum-quality crinoid from Crawfordsville, Indiana.
