This is an interesting assemblage of crinoids from a "new" pocket at Crawfordsville, Indiana. The specimen on the left is Actinocrinites gibsoni. This camerate crinoid exhibits strongly stellate plates in the cup of the crinoid. A portion of stem is attached , as well as a few arms. The crinoid at the top is Taxocrinus colletti. This flexible crinoid displays very nice plate structure. An articulated stem is attached to the crinoid. Directly below this crinoid is a specimen of Agaricocrinus americanus. The long, stout arms of this crinoid exhibit very fine pinnulation. Below this crinoid is another crinoid. This is another camerate crinoid, Macrocrinus mundulus. This specimen has a very long anal tube prominently displayed. Some of the arms and a portion of stem are also attached to this beautifully detailed specimen. The fossils have good color and great contrast. This is a very fine multiple specimen of crinoids from the Mississippian of Indiana.
