Here is a very displayable plate of Scyphocrinites sp. from the Silurian of Morocco. There are actually three specimens of this crinoid on the plate and the detail is just exquisite. This camerate crinoid has a very large cup composed of many, many stellate plates which are beautifully exhibited on this specimen. The extremely long, multi-branching arms display the feathery pinnules in wonderful fashion. The gray crinoids contrast well with the reddish matrix and they are nicely positioned on the ''thinned'' plate of limestone that also contains several large crinoid stems. This is a great plate of these large Silurian crinoids from Africa.
